INDIANAPOLIS - AAA Hoosier Motor Club announced today the selection of Matt Godbout as Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Revenue, where he will oversee more than 80% of the organization’s revenue. With over 25 years of sales and marketing experience, Godbout will be charged with the critical task of growing all areas of revenue, with a particular emphasis on membership through retention and enhancing the organization's ancillary lines of revenue through strategic employee engagement and targeted marketing efforts.

Prior to coming to AAA, Godbout worked in sales and marketing for the Indiana Pacers, IndyCar, and the Indianapolis Colts, where he spent nearly 17 years. Godbout initially served as Corporate Sales Manager at the Colts, spearheading the organization’s effort to secure the 20-year stadium naming rights partnership with Lucas Oil Products. He was promoted through the front office and ultimately served as the organization’s Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, overseeing corporate partnerships, marketing, production, broadcast rights, and the team’s social and digital media efforts.

Godbout has most recently served in executive leadership roles as VP of Business Development and Marketing for Gaylor Electric, Inc., and Ray’s Trash Service, Indiana’s most significant independent waste and recycling organization before its recent acquisition by Waste Management, where he was responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring all sales, sponsorship, and marketing strategies for each of the organizations. Godbout will oversee Travel, Membership, Marketing, and the Membership Satisfaction Team in his position with AAA.

In making the announcement, AAA Hoosier Motor Club CEO Matt Goins stated, “Matt embodies the balance of professional excellence and personal integrity we value.” “His knowledge of the business, particularly as it relates to our key stakeholders, associates, and members, will help us develop long-term partnerships that will aid in the growth of our club. His drive for success, rooted in metric-based criteria, will ensure we constantly measure our outcomes and adjust as needed. Also, his transparency and desire to collaborate will help elevate efforts to serve our members and strengthen communication statewide.”

Godbout is a native of New Hampshire and holds a bachelor's degree in Sport Management/Business from Colby-Sawyer College and a master's degree in Sport Management from Indiana State University.
